Greetings NDAB! My name is Tom Spaeth with the BIA of the Red River Valley. I have the honor of being your NDAB State President for 2024.
Since I've started my position, I've had the opportunity to visit two of our locals to swear in their new officers for 2024. It started with a visit to Minot on November 30th. It was a great gathering of their association, and it was nice to network and get to know more of the members. Jeff Haider as always was a wonderful host. My second trip was to Grand Forks on January 25th. We had our gathering at Downtown Axe. I had the privilege of swearing in their new officers as well. It’s always good to see all our great builder neighbors to the north!
The next trip was to Bismarck for our Spring Board Meeting. We started on March 19th with our committee meetings which included Executive Officers, the Executive Committee and PAC Trustees where great discussions were had! That evening we had a social at the Luft in downtown Bismarck. We raised funds for BUILD-PAC with a Silent Auction and great fun was had by all! We had our Board of Directors meeting on Wednesday morning, March 20th. It was well attended, and we had some great guest speakers. Doug Nelson (State Fire Marshal), Tracy Becker (ND CTE), and Heather Voorman (NAHB).
I’m looking forward to being busy with the Association for the remainder of 2024. Please keep me in mind for any of your social events or meetings. I would love to attend as many as I can.
